New Mexico Tech student Sergio de Tomas Marin will be talking about his studies and progress he had made on his investigations. Our Otero Chapter awarded Sergio with a $2,000 grant in November 2018. Sergio’s project is about understanding soil nitrogen cycling as a tool for native vegetation restoration: the effect of invasive Russian Olive on soil chemistry along the middle Rio Grande.
This presentation will happen on January 25, 2020, at 11 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1010 E. 16th St. Alamogordo, NM.
