The Las Cruces chapter will be conducting a field trip to Sawyers Peak, Black Range on June 29. Meet at 8 AM at the east end of the former K-Mart parking lot by Highway 70 and N. Telshor. Easy-medium difficulty, a few gentle slopes, lasting into mid-afternoon, less than 6 miles round trip walk.
Field Trips are usually Saturdays; most last into the afternoon. Bring lunch/snack, water, and sun protection, and wear good walking shoes. Where and when we meet to carpool varies with each field trip; please check each listing. Participants must sign a release of liability form, not wander from the group, and inform field trip leader(s) if they need to leave the trip for any reason. Children must be accompanied by their parents. Programs and field trips are free, unless we are going to a fee area; non-members are always welcome.
