Summer is a great time for a hike in the forest north of 16 Springs. The area around the James Ridge Lookout has many flat roads and areas, and offers great views. Meet there at noon.
People who don’t hike can still come because there is a picnic table and places to put out chairs, and its a great place to hang out. Please watch out for deer on the drive up, and be aware that parts of the road are dirt/unpaved. And should there be lighting/rain, the trip would be rescheduled to the next weekend.
