Wednesday, April 5th at 6 p.m. – “A Tale of Two Herbaria” wtih Renee Galeano-Popp, Botanist/Ecologist

Join us to learn about the importance of herbaria, which are systematically arranged collections of dried plants, and their value to botanists.
Renee moved to Santa Fe a few years ago from Colorado and has been volunteering with two organizations there, the Institute of Applied Ecology and the New Mexico Natural History Institute, organizing their herbaria.  She created a herbarium for the IAE using all of their voucher specimens from seed collecting.  Currently she is curating the NMNHI herbarium housed at the Randall Davey Audubon Center.
