Saver’s parking lot) on Carlisle on NE side of Carlisle/Menaul intersection at 8 am. Park behind Mattress Firm in SW corner of lot.  Car pool to Mattress Firm in SW corner of lot at 8:30 am in Los Lunas. Proceed to Whitfield about 15 miles away. It will be an easy 1.5 mile hike on level ground. The preserve has restored farmland into ponds, wetlands, fields, and native plant gardens. We will focus on native plants in the area. Bring water, lunch, broad brim hats, and sun  screen. Bathrooms available at the visitor center.
