The Native Plant Society of New Mexico no longer offers classic wildflower posters, only the poster of New Mexico cactuses in flower.

The wildflower poster was completed in 1990 by the local artist Niki Threlkeld. The cactus poster was completed in 2003 by former NPSNM president, Lisa Mandelkern. Wildflower posters are no longer available.

Summer/Fall Wildflowers (22″ x 34″)

The centerpiece of our summer and fall wildflower poster is a Rufous hummingbird seeking nectar from a scarlet bugler Penstemon. This is a reminder that all plants and animals are interdependent and in protecting one, we help others to survive.

On this poster we show many flowers of the high mountain meadows as well as the lower parts of the state. We hope you will take the time to seek them out and enjoy their varied habitats. Some are large and showy and others are dainty and pale, but all together contribute to the unique beauty that is New Mexico.

All flowers are presented life-size, but real-life specimen size can vary greatly due to site and weather conditions.

Many of the beautiful wildflowers found along New Mexico’s roadsides were represented life-sized on this classic poster, now a collector’s item.

 

If there is sufficient demand, it is possible that we will make these available again in limited numbers. Unfortunately, the cost of printing has risen and the purchase price would have to be adjusted.
