El Paso, Feb. 13: Nikki Donegan shares her research on native bees.

Nikki Donegan will share about her research on native bees and the native and non-native plants that they use. Native bees are essential pollinators, and many are facing population declines. Conservation organizations urge individuals to plant “bee-friendly” flowers but tend not to emphasize native plants.

Meetings are at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 1810 Elm Street (Elm at Wheeling, off Piedras). Programs are second Thursdays at 7 PM (coffee social at 6:30) unless otherwise noted. All events free unless a fee is specified. Nonmembers always welcome. Info: John White, 575/640-7555; jmwhite [at] utep.edu.
