Saturday, July 16th at 8:30 a.m. Field Trip: Red Canyon, Manzano Mountains

Moderate, 2-3 miles: several habitats on the lower portion of the mostly wooded Red Canyon Trail, about 1.5 hour drive from Albuquerque, southwest from the village of Manzano. Besides flower observations, this trip will include a discussion of the geology of the Manzano Mountains and rocks along the trail.

Leave from Smith’s at Central and Tramway, southwest corner of the parking lot, at 8:30AM.

Bring snacks, insect repellant, sunscreen, and water, and be prepared for possible rain. If you intend to carpool, please bring a face mask.
